How to travel to Debrecen

Debrecen is located in the Eastern region of Hungary, 230 km away from Budapest Capital.

By road, from the direction of Budapest

- direct access to Debrecen by using motorways M3 and M35 (respectively)
- to Füzesabony by using motorway M3, afterwards from Füzesabony to Debrecen by using expressway 33, through Tiszafüred and Hortobágy
- by using road 4 to Debrecen, through Cegléd and Szolnok

By plane

Debrecen Airport is the second international airport of Hungary, accessible by both tourists and business passengers. Further information: www.debrecenairport.com
Debrecen International Airport is 10 minutes away from the city center by car.
Passengers arriving by train may access the airport easily by taxi.

Public Transport

From the direction of the train station, the most comfortable way to access our hotel is using the tram. You need to get off the tram at the 5th stop (Kálvin tér). By using tram line 2, you need to get off at the 6th stop (Kölcsey Központ).

From the direction of the airport, you can reach our hotel by using the regular Airport line. You need to get off at the 12th stop (Kölcsey Központ, Bethlen utca).

Our hotel is located within the city center, therefore you can reach main attractions comfortably, only after some minutes of walking. Grandforest is only 10 minutes by tram.

We provide a 24/7 reception service to ensure the comfort of our guests.

Checking in, checking out

On the day of arrival, our guests are able to occupy their rooms from 2.00 pm. Of course we are able to provide a room or a luggage room in case of earlier arrival, depending on the capacity of empty rooms of our hotel.

On the day of departure, our guests shall leave their rooms before 10.30 am, a luggage room may be provided. If you fail to leave your room before 10.30 am, our hotel is entitled to charge 50% of the effective rack rate as a surcharge.

We kindly inform you that your booking is maintained until 6.00 pm on the day of arrival. Bookings without guarantee may be sold for other guests if necessary. Please inform us if you are planning a late arrival. Furthermore, if you fail to arrive, bookings for more days will be automatically cancelled.

Cancelling bookings

Our guests may cancel their bookings without paying a penalty 24 hours before the start of the service. If you fail to cancel your booking before this deadline, or if you fail to cancel it anyway, you shall pay the whole price of your booking as a penalty. We inform you that cancellations or modifications may only be accepted in a written form (by email or fax)!

In case of holiday or highlighted period bookings, our hotel will enforce special conditions of cancellation.

Payment opportunities

You can choose from the following payment opportunities in our hotel: cash, debit card, SZÉP Cafeteria Card (all three issuing banks - OTP, MKB, K&H - are accepted). SZÉP Hospitality and Travel subaccounts (“pockets”) may be used to pay for your accommodation. We are able to accept the following debit cards: Master, Visa, AMEX, Maestro.

Parking

We provide a limited number of parking spaces in the underground garage of Kölcsey Center against payment. The underground garage can be accessed from the direction of Bethlen utca or Füvészkert utca. If you press the button of the gate of the entrance of the underground garage, you will receive a parking card. Within the garage, you have to follow the traffic signs towards the parking spaces of our hotel, where you can open the separate gate of Hotel Lycium**** with the parking card you have received. From the underground garage, you may access the reception desk of our hotel by using the elevator. We kindly ask you to deposit your parking card at the reception desk for the sake of validation. Maximal allowed height of vehicles: 1,98 m.

We provide a limited number of parking spaces for buses if necessary.

Átrium Restaurant

Opening hours of Átrium Restaurant: everyday from 12.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Abundant buffet breakfast

We serve buffet breakfast to our guest in our restaurant from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. Selection of the expanded buffet breakfast:

We serve half board dinner from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Depending on the number of guests, two versions are available: buffet or three-course meal.

We provide room service to our guests upon request, please refer to the room service and morning room service menu cards placed in your room. The service is available during the opening hours of Átrium Restaurant’s kitchen.

Business Corner

To our business guests, we provide 24/7 business corner services Please ask for the help of our receptionist colleague in case of unique needs.
